Hello everyone, this is Michele from Italy, currently owner of a nice 2008 Stingray 4.
This is my fourth Stingray and I noticed something different from the previous MM case in the one the current bass came in.
While there is the usual “Stingray 4 Stingray 5 Musicman” tag near the handle, the interior is shaped to accomodate only a 4 string. I remember from the previously owned cases that there was some extra room in the upper/lower horn area to accomodate the 5 stringers…
The other areas ( the ones that accomodate headstock, papers, etc.) are ok, and the case seems absolutely original and identical to the ones I previously owned ( all were for 2012 and 2016 instruments).
Were the interiors of cases around 2008 shaped that way? Any toughts?
