i have a jp6 and a sub 1 and on both the guitar the input jack doesnt hold the guitar cable as snug as i feel it should. are there any quick fixes? have you guys run into the same problem? thanks

Cheap cables suffer with this......not sure what cables you are using but an upgrade may help?

Fatoni, hope you dont mind me saying this, but your "tab" sig is really off-putting. I am always trying to read the tab rather than the post!!!

i use mogami so the cable is isnt cheap. and i get new ones often to keep the contacts nice. sorry bout the sig but i gotta rep paul waggoner and between the buried and me

It's funny but I use both Monster and Mogami cables (both excellent!!)

However, on some of the earlier Monster cables I would "bend" out the input jack arm a tad (to compensate for the slightly larger plug), and on the Mogami I would "bend" it in a tad.

I haven't ran into that problem with the newer Monsters.

Added note: I did a blindfolded test one day for a cable comparison. A very, very, very, slight punch and mid increase in the Monster "rock" cable.
