Hey guys,

I have a Sterling Valentine (my EBMM Stingray needed a little brother), and I’ve swapped the bridge pickup with an Anderson HC2.

I’d like to put a 5-way switch in to bed able to split the bridge coils.

I have an Ernie Ball basic 5-way switch in my tickle trunk so if I can use that, that would be the ideal.

Basically, I’m looking to do:

1: bridge humbucker full
2: bridge split
3: bridge parallel
4: bridge + neck
5: neck

Can I do this? The Seymour Duncan wiring diagram for this setup doesn’t really help, and everything else I can find calls for a super switch.

You will need definitely need to use a superswitch for something like that. Coil splits and parallel wiring requires more switch functionality than a standard 5-way switch provides.
