Will I need to drill the strap button screw hole to get a larger diameter or deeper hole to install Ernie Ball Strap Locks on my Music Man SR5?

I really don't want to drill on my baby. :)

Thanks!

Not long fitted EB strap locks to both of my Ray's, the screws provided with the locks went in no problem at all with no drilling needed.

Might need a toothpick if the screw feels loose.

Do they fit in the original hard shell case OK?

Thanks for the input.

Yes they do, provided that you remove the strap from the bass which is what holds the bulkier part of the strap lock. With the strap removed you are left with the end pin which is quite similar in size to the original.

you do need to use the shorter screws that come with the strap locks... the ones that come with the orignial strap buttons are too long... The EBMM strap locks are great!:)

The EB strap locks were installed just perfectly, with no drilling needed. Thanks everyone.

I love free money! and yes, I use the EB locks on EB basses (and some other brand on all my other basses).

Yep, all of my Music Man basses have EB locks on them. All have installed very easily without issue and the button remains just as tight as it came from the factory.
