Has anyone ever considered or actually done this?

I'm Going to use Molex style connectors and solder leads from the toggle and then do molex connectors on the pickup side as well and then just connect them so i can swap out pickups easier at any time in the future without a whole lot of work..

great plan!!! I've always said, swapping out pickups is pretty dog gone easy (and now even easier yet!). Lots of fun experimenting too!

Yep- I do that on all the guitars I frequently switch up. Very handy.

yeah... it works great until youre just about ready to do the last solder and your iron breaks... LOVELY!!!!!

I do love the way it's looking very easy to swap out the pickups

Damn, that's some bad luck.

I know... right!!!!!

I had it soldered up two nights ago and decided to swicth to the molex method... so i know the pickups sound great. just want to have this method to do a quick job at reinstalling. I'm also going to molex up the pickups that came in it... it'll be awesome for sure to have the luxury of swapping out so quickly.

Not sure what took me so long to do it this way.

I just bought a Dimarzio Air Zone I plan to put in the Bridge of my Sil Special. Hopefully I will get to it soon.

Mine is the SSS configuration...

the previous owner kept the stock neck and middle and put a duncan hot rails in the bridge...

Pete Dubaldo informed me that the bridge didn't mesh well with the other two but it was my dream EBMM guitar and had to have it...
Finally got a set of singles that i loved and wanted to drop in... i'm keeping the originals just in the event i find a bridge single coil i can pick it up and return it to "stock"
