Interesting is an understatement!!!!!
It's funny 'cuz I always wondered if people ever bought them in other colours!?
I've only seen Morse Blue, Blue Burst, Black, Vintage Sunburst, Buttercream and Red!
I'm not a huge fan of sparkles, but I'm a sucker for purple! It must be the Donny Osmund influence when I was a kid!

Very "intersting" color. I can't tell from the pics if it is a true sparkle or if it's a metallic paint showing off. If it is a purple sparkle, it's the first one I've seen.

That's nice!! Very cool, I wonder what year it is??? It's one of those GC auction though, they bite.

Same here Ernie. I don't remember them ever making a purple sparkle, maybe it's a one off.

I played that guitar yesterday!
It isn't a sparkle finish it's just purple and it's sitting in the Scottsdale GC, that's pretty weird

Man,
Given that it's a GC auction, the lack of knowledge of the specifications is simply SHAMEFUL!!!
If you're gonna put something up for auction (and ask big bucks starting price..) at least KNOW your item!!

Aha, another metallic finish trying to pass itself off as a sparkle!

This Morse is Pearl Purple from August of 2000. Pearl Purple was a standard color back then before we discontinued. The Black pearl guard was a new option as well.
Some other colors that were offered were: Fire Engine Red, Metalflake Brown, and Pearl Lavender.

I've never seen the metalflake brown color, anybody has a pic to satisfy my curiosity? Fogman maybe...

And so ... does that signal some interest there? A purple Morse for Tommy, maybe? (It'd be like mixing Steve and Vinny's guitars!)
