I went through nearly every response to the original poster. He never substantiated his claims with any pics. Nor did he dispute anything.Hmm.

Yeah - I think he's full of crap myself. He's using TGP to sell gear. Who knows what he's up to. I've got 4 EBs and they are phenomenal build quality. Customer service has been outstanding. Hell - I even have a hat and it is great quality :)

It's astonishing to see how one post can stir up so many people into an argument.. and that I read through all that in hopes to see if the OP gave a response to his claims.

That's one brilliant troll imo.

Sounds like the OP was ranting about some very minor issues. Get a humidifier.

My favorite quote from the dramatic thread was, "MM is the only (forum) I've seen that's run with an iron fist, where members either fall in line or are expelled".

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to mix up a batch of Balboa Blueburst Kool Aid. Save my place in line... :D

I think it's obvious that the OP's a troll. He only has 9 posts on that board, and most of them are in that thread.

Yes indeed the OP is a troll. I felt compelled to reply a couple times, but usually ignore that stuff. TGP is very "unique" to be polite. My 2013 New Years Resolution was to avoid it like the plaque, I relapse from time to time....

Thread is closed now. However, there's two sides on this one. What someone is expecting to get is something other than what's common. When I got my first Luke back in 2005 I already joined this forums so I knew about the stress cracks and I knew they'd do no harm to the guitar. If I didn't knew that, I'd be 'wow, I spend around 2000 dollars on a guitar and this isn't what i'd be expecting'.

On my Luke it was there but i read a lot on it and it wasn't a problem. But for a lot of people this would be a problem and they'd make a complain to CS about it. If CS would say 'hey, that's what you get with a tight pocked joint' this kind of customers would not not understand. Even if CS would say it doesn't affect the body of the guitar and it's only in the finish of the guitar, EBMM will get the blame.

That's not fair, but every guitar enthusiast is different, and has different standards.

I saw the thread, but knew better than to get into it with a guy with such a low post count and a declarative post title like he had. Kudos to those that went in and defended EBMM!

The stress crack/fracture in the neck area is hard to explain to anyone who has never made a guitar or finished a guitar with poly. I'm sure if EBMM could mitigate the stress cracks that they would. The only time I would be alarmed by it is if the crack started to splinter.
