Hi guys,
i just used the Bongo today on a few tracks, to apprehension at first from the engineer at hand but then joyous adulation when I plugged in and we got multiple tones for the tunes we did today, anywho, my question is this.Stupid me didn't bother to intonate the Bongo and my G string is way out, the open G is in tune but the C on the 5th fret is way sharp (simple saddle adjustment i know) BUT with the compensated nut does there have to be any extra weirdness to intonating the Bongos? I know that with the Buzz Feiten system there is a slightly different way to intonate. Any further thoughts???

ps. the drummer loved the Desert Gold finish, he actually said he'd love his next kit in that finish..... ahh, good to know that Music Man basses can help keep you out of the burger flipping line and paying singers happy :D

I haven't had any issues intonating my Bongos during setup. I'm pretty certain that the compensated nut is designed to be intonated like a normal bass. That's been my experience, anyway.
