What Steve Vai is doing is really great. He's got a pretty special eye for talent.

Last night I just picked up a copy of one of his acoustic artists, Peppino D'augustino EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, at peppino's concert in Dana Point. OMFG! What a tremendous fingerstyle player.

Plus...I really enjoy saying Peppino.

I'm not kidding. Try it.

Wow, that color is gorgeous!!! Are those Tom Anderson pickups in the neck and middle? Those pole pieces are mighty big.

Those are Rio Grande pickups. 2 Muy Grande singles and a BBQ humbucker. I like these pups. They were in the guitar when I got it. To my ear they sound better than the dimarzios in my Axis Sport and my old Silo Spec. Unfortunately the silent circuit and the mega 5 way were gone. The Rio Grande pups are very nice though. Warm yet Hot?
