I THINK, I might be hooked on these things?
Loved the look of them since day 1...
Finally bought one without ever playing one.
Loved it...bought a 2nd..different board.......and would honestly order a third with Ebony IF I could get it in one of the colors I like and with an ebony board.
Maybe someday? :(

There is a Music Man dealer in Denver that sells them. I believe it is called Drum City but am not sure. I have not had a chance to visit the store yet but one day when I am in Denver, I want to stop by there and play some. Hopefully they have some Reflexes in stock too so I can check some of them out as well.

Yea the Reflex is a very cool bass too..
A lot of things on it are similar to the Big Al.
18v Electronics, push buttons, knob controls = same
Neck width, body style, tuners = different
Weight and balance seems close...Both are pretty light basses.
It is a bit redundant for me to now have 2 big al's and a reflex at the same time.
The Reflex IS an HSS, rather than an SSS.
But I can maybe see me parting with one of the three at some point down the road when bad G.A.S. ( or insanity ) strikes...which lately has been non stop....mid life crisis? maybe? lol :D

Took my Big Al 5-H to my luthier about 6 weeks ago and had him remove the tonge oil and wax from the neck then refinish it with a tinted vintage high gloss lacquer. I like satin finish necks, but I much prefer glossy necks, like on my Classic Stingray 5.

Put it back together and here's what it looks like now.

Oh yeah that works, looks great. I plan on a similar course of action on my Candy Red BA5 with a maple neck and board, except I'll go with a Poly instead of lacquer.
