When it comes to voting for the next singer for INXS, yes. ;) Actually, I think it's a great show. Some great performers on there. Plus, it was really friggin' easy to vote online (last night was the first time I've voted)... Not to mention the house band is great.

Why am I trying to justify myself to bovinehost?

Agreed.

The singers aren't very good i think they could have done better...QUOTE]

Man, I'll just have to disagree with with you on that statement. There are some excellent singers on that program and some of them come with pretty heavy credentials. Ty and Mig both have strong theatre backgrounds. That's why they both work so comfortably on stage. Jordis is definitely one of the better singers even though she is only 22. The worst one they have would make just about any local band sound and look more polished.

Are they really going to find a singer this way? It's kind of like Limp Bizkit's GC deal a few years back when they were going to find a guitarist by trying out people at every GC in the country. They ended up hiring one of their friends(as if all those poor kids who tried out ever had a chance).

In this case, though, INXS (or somebody affiliated with the band) invited all of them into the competition. They're not just random schmucks off the street... Plus, INXS are slightly cooler than Fred Durst IMHO. :D ;)

Or at least that was my impression from the first show. Can anybody confirm?

True, but we're talking about making INXS sound good, not some local band. However, I think they've done a good job of eliminating the right people so far. I think there are a few candidates who could do well with INXS. It will be interesting to see how the upcoming vocal clinic goes...

Let me get this straight.

We have grown men watching a talent show and actually voting for a winner?

Do I have this right?

Let me get this straight.

We have grown men travelling halfway across the country just to meet a few people they "know" from an online forum?

Do I have this right?

:D :p

I think the dude with the big chin and stubble will win, he looks the closest in age to the rest of the guys and as for the women...i dunno, i just don't think INXS fans would be into a woman fronting the band , just my opinion

and yes, I have voted online, and yes, Navarro bugs the hell outta me on there. Love his playing in Janes Addiction but not his new role as Simon Cowell.Actually he's more like the 'Randy J' of the show but..... :p

You don't think that Jordis, the chick with dreads is any good??

Yea i did like her the best, but i still think they could have done better. It is fun to watch though they do a lot of classic songs.

I was thinking about it and i don't think they should keeping their name the same. When im dead i wouldn't want to know im replaceable. Wasn't their something about the doors like this.

I seen one time of the show. I liked the contestants and the House band much better than I did the band that was needing to make money on TV to find a singer.

I am old so any way. I ain't watching it though I am tempted just to hear a good band cover what ever song someone wants to sing. One time told me they were good and if I were one of those singers I would be telling INXS I don't wanna sing for you guys but this band behind me I would give my left... to be with, these guys rock.
