Is it me or is the neck profile (or width) on the Petrucci BFR slightly different to the standard JP6?

It just seems that bit more playable (if that were possible). Can anyone enlighten me?

It might be, I remember way back when there was a thread showing the us the results as it was being designed. I'm not sure if neck profile was one of the changes, but I know they changed the lower horn. Maybe someone from EB can chime in

Probably the fact it is a finished neck will make it feel different.

Unfortunately, I haven't found out very much...

The string spacing at the nut appears to be the same as the standard JP6, but I haven't got one to compare it to in other respects.

I'm sure Tim is on to something with the finished neck but it may even be an optical illusion because of the subtle change in the guitar body/horns/bout shapes. Anyway, whatever it is, I like it!

I don't know if anyone from EBMM could comment?
