is it possible to wire a Axis super sport so that when the switch is thrown forward (towards neck) so that only one coil of the humbcuker is active.

so position 5 on the switch is effectiley a single coil?

does anyone know how to do this?

Yep, not a problem. You can do it with either coil on that bucker. Note that there's no Silent Circuit on the SSPT, so that split neck 'bucker will hum, though.

PM me if you want a wiring diagram and I'll make something up.

Yup, all of that is quite doable.

But I'd aim for the least amount of soldering. So if you're going to keep a split position, keep it in that same switch position. You can move them, but it's more work and one more thing to screw up/revert to later if you want to sell it.

Wiring any of the positions for a split pickup on its own is pretty easy. The only thing to keep in mind is that there will be noise in the split position - no Silent Circuit on board.

Hit me up if you need a diagram.
