Help! Is my Axis Floyd Rose set up correctly?

I've just bought a MM Axis & am really a beginner at this Floyd Rose stuff & need your help having been a strat/PRS man up until now! I notice the bridge is set tight to the body so that I can only de-tention & dive bomb, but cannot increase tention as on my floating Strat bridge...... sorry to be naive here, but is this correct? Simple help needed! Thanks, Rob.

Yes, the Axis is set up from the factory to dive-bomb only.

Thanks.... maybe daft question, but if I loosen the tension on the springs I think I could get it to float a little, but it does not look like that this is the idea with this design of guitar, am I right here? And if I was to do this would the guitar stay in tune as well as it does now? Rgds, Rob.
