Heres an e-mail I got. Seems weird. Do you think someone is trying to scam me??

HELLO,
I'm interested in your advert(white sparkle Ernie Ball MusicMan Sterling.
9.5)if it is still available forsale.Kindly get back to me with the price if
available, pics and also the present condition.
My method of payment is with a cashier's check that is drawn from a American
Bank.If this is okay with you I want you to get back to me so I can proceed with
the payment arrangment.
I look forward to your response.
Best regard,
Carlos.
Note:
I already have a shipping agent that will do the arrangment on pick up as soon
as the transaction is sealed.

Did you put it on craigslist? I pit a few things on craigslist last month and got a bunch of replies like this ... one of them was actually identical ...

just ignore 'em

Yes. Warning bells are "cashier's check" and "shipping agent". Tell him you'll sell him the bass if he pays by money order or Paypal, and that you'll only ship to him via USPS, Fedex or UPS once his payment has cleared. If he pays via Payal, transfer the funds immediately into your bank account.

I can smell a scam from a mile away. There is no way thats a scam. In fact, the payment is already in you account. The buyer has asked me to have you send the bass to my address for inspection. :D

I would tell the buyer to send the check. It would be interesting to see what happened when you cash it. I would not ship the bass untill you have the money in your hands.....somehow I think you might have problems with the check.

When I sold my SUB on e-bay I had ever kind of offer, questions, why nots, you can think of. The person in the Uk that purchased it had great feedbacks and paid with pay-pal, even paid the pay pal charges. Money is in my bank account at this time.
This or a International Postal Money Order if outside U.S. is the only way to go.
