Hey everybody, I just dug my old OLP Silo Spec that I used to travel with out from where it's been living behind my 4x12 for a while, and it really is an amazing guitar for what it cost... except for the tuning stability (or lack thereof).

I think it could be a badass backup axe with just a change of pegs, but I can't find any places to buy schaller type tuning pegs that aren't sold 3/3 or 6 in a line. I don't really feel like buying two sets of pegs (unless some lefty out there is contemplating a similar project and wants to go halfsies on two sets and divide them up =D ) and I don't imagine EB would sell me a set, since this isn't for either of my official Balls (which have perfect stability).

I know some of you guys have pimped out your OLPs, where did you get new pegs?

I switched on the tuners on a OLP Benji that I owned. The Schaller locking tuners are a perfect fit. and there's no additional drilling. The mounting holes even match up.

Warmoth is your best bet. They're cheaper there than if you order them straight from EBMM. You need 4 left and 2 right.

For tuning stability, the SChaller locking tuners are the best. It solves two major problems encountered with standard tuners. Overwinding, and string slippage.

After all, it's standard equipment on the EBMM Silo Specials.
