In looking at where some of the BFRs are going, it looks as if quite a few are headed off to Japan and Korea.... I would imagine that since the Technical style of playing is popular there that guitars like EBMM would be popular as well.

Would it be that after the US market, the asian market would have the highest demand for EBMM guitars?

I also noticed that... It seems to me that it may be just a coincidence.

I was also wondering if it was a coincidence that the batch of BFRs happened to be orders that were headed overseas.... but it would make sense if it wasn't considering their love for Shredders.

Japan is a great market for EB/MM and has been for many years !! Korrea is a market that is moving forward every year!! As a whole they aren't where Japan,UK, Germany and other territories are. But the Music Man line is becoming more visible than ever....it really is an exciting time for Music Man!!!! And I'm excited to see the added exposure that we are getting over seas.

China is a market that is now starting to catch up with some of our other Asian territories. While their BFR sales/orders aren't huge....the MM line in general is doing great. Last October Beth and I attened the Music China show in Shanghai. The kids couldn't put our instrument down...and if they didn't speak one word of english...I would get this...."Petruti....Petruti :D:D". The cool thing about China is they are finally becoming able to spend(as a whole) more $$ on pleasures...rather than needs. 5-10 years from now...China will be a much different player on the global purchasing scale.

The Asian market is very good to EBMM, but what you are seeing is more a reflection of scheduling and production.

Also, as Dargin posted some guitars were accidentally not photoed before they left - mine is one of those, it shipped on the day of the mixup I believe.

(I'm in the US)

Like I have seen before...

They have a certain amount of guitars that they can give to these Stores. They are working with Guitar Center and Musicians Friend as we speak. The Demand in Asia might be higher than in the US though

Thanks for the responses... It is interesting as I never really looked at the international Asian market for US made Guitars as most of the time I have looked and talked about the "other" brands that seem to have factories all over the world.

I've known that US guitars are popular and in demand overseas (my BIL lives in Slovenia)

This is one of the more international group of Guitar enthusiasts that I have seen on any board and I guess that has to do with the quality (suck up time here) of the instruments that EBMM puts out and demand and recognition of their product.

With some of these emerging markets out there, I wouldn't be surprised if EB will be inline for some serious growth!!!
