Wow, that was decent. Necrophgaist songs are extremely complicated IMO and its great to see an EBMM in action on a Necrophagist song!

the vocals, yeah.......
well you see, i guess when you play stuff like that, there's no time to practice your singing... and instrumentals are a nono. truth be told, there's actually very little "singing" in necrophagist stuff(none at all i hear u say :D) in comparison to most other bands. they might never become mainstream but at least they don't suffer from LSD(lead singer disease)!

Sorry, I just dont understand how that music even exists for human ears to listen to, unless you are being tortured.

i think they'll never use metal as torture simply because then amnesty international might actually agree it is. cia would most likely add insult to injury by playing "we are the world"...

I think it shows the diversity of EBMM guitars. You don't have to like that music, but you can appreciate someone doing something not expected with an EBMM guitar. It's called extremem music for a reason, it's not for everyone.
It's kind of like the Gratefull Dead for me; I think they were the most boring band with the most bland, unemotional songs ever written and I would rather stick bamboo under my nails than listen to them, but I respect them as musicians.

I just find it weird that I can appreciate all styles of music that may not be my cup o' tea, but metal always gets panned. It's the same as the lefty abuse I have taken over the years. People are so close-minded.

I agree. I'm not the biggest Necrophagist fan, but it takes talent to play something that extreme just like it takes loads of talent to do what guitarists like Andy McKee do. It's not metal, but I still consider Andy McKee extreme...just in his own way.

I’m a little on the odd side when it comes to bands I just don't like. I'm what you would consider a metalhead, but I'm not into AC/DC. But I can appreciate that Angus is a hell of a guitarist, and Malcolm is no slouch either.

Though no fan of Necrophagist, that was much more listenable to me than most country, rap and R&B... but tastes obviously differ. Regardless of musical preference, that was one highly dexterous dude working his magic on that JP!

Gotta give it to the dude - that was a a great demonstration of shred.

I gotta be fretting incorrectly - cos I don't get blisters (see end of clip) where he gets them ?
