phewwww!!!! thank you!!!You found the bellybuttons! Totally normal.
Did you run the serial number through the EBMM serial number search too in teh pinned posts? It won't list every component and with a little research you can make a pretty educated determination of authenticity on just about everything, but you can confirm age, build specs, finish, etc to see if all that matches what you know and have in hand.phewwww!!!! thank you!!!
Still, I found that the guitar is lighter than my Luke2 (around 3kg). Is there any trick to spot if there any fake component?
Well, it's a little roughed up around and including the jack/plate area that's for sure. But that is inconsistent damage relative to the overall good/very good condition of the rest of the instrument. Possibly dropped or banged on it's jack? Or maybe more likely someone got a little aggressive in removing that plate at some point and brought some of the finish with it. Thankfully it's in an area that nobody ever really sees. That neck pocket looks legit so that would lead me to think that the body is legit. HAve you had a look at the pickups to insure they are the originals? I am betting that they are.Thank you both for your responses.
The serial number matches the specs, but there's something weird....you know when you get that feeling?...It's so light compared to the Luke...
I had an Axis before (not the Super Sport), but I remember it was heavier...

I removed the neck pickup and there's a white sticker "HHB2" or something like that. Now I cleaned the body and the fretboard and put new EB Super Slinky strings. HAve you had a look at the pickups to insure they are the originals? I am betting that they are.
Again, I am no expert but from my limited experience I think that you're OK.I removed the neck pickup and there's a white sticker "HHB2" or something like that. Now I cleaned the body and the fretboard and put new EB Super Slinky strings![]()
These are a couple different vintages of OEM Axis Sport and Super Sport pickups for reference.I removed the neck pickup and there's a white sticker "HHB2" or something like that. Now I cleaned the body and the fretboard and put new EB Super Slinky strings![]()
Weight is not much of an indicator of anything. Two pieces of wood from the same trees sepcies in the same forest can have very different densities. From what I've seen reported here over the years, some guitars can weight 3.0 kg, and some can be over 3.6 kg. You can expect 20% variation between guitars.phewwww!!!! thank you!!!
