No, you're quite right... An Axis with a Rosewood board is quite rare - excepting the Rosewood Axis, of course. These normal production Axes with the Rosewood fretboard were available for only a year or two after the Axis was introduced; I think the option was dropped with the introduction of the Axis Sport...

Hey thanks alot for the quick response Jimi... Now from what i gather here is that this axis should have been a used previosly owned model, but the website is posting as a new guitar so that's a little confusing....Well any case i had never seen one like that one except like you said on the rosewood axis and if i believe the limited edition (black)..I like to see different variations on EBMM guitars that's why i love them, but i will say even though i prepfer a maple neck axis i would like to a have one of each with a floyd of course.

I don't see myself selling this one either, although if you ask my wife, she'll sell it to you in a heartbeat.

But if it ever does happen, I'll offer it up here first before I try the EvilBay.

How the heck you guys survive without floyd rose, to me it is one of most important equipment in guitar.

I got mine simply for two reasons.

Not everything I play requires a trem dive or whammy trick.

If I were to order an Axis, this is how I would want it. I play alot of rhythm parts, and the trem gets in the way most of the time.

Oh, and I forgot the third . . . it's freakin' cool.

i guess it depends on the style you are playing, aint no dive bombing in country! plus your fingers have got to be the most important thing, i see so many players that rely on the floyd too much, and it shows, they are lost with nothing to say.
