Look what I got friday before last! One Pearl Blue Bongo HH with Black Pearloid scratchplate. Oh yes. I've been playing with it so much I haven't been able to concentrate long enough on uploading pics for you guys.

(It's my first time using imageshack, what you SHOULD see above are clickable thumbs. Bear with me if not. The quality's not excellent but hey, I'm not a photographer, I'm a bassist!)

It was 4.5 months wait in the end, but worth it. What these pictures don't show (and this is the inherent problem with posting bass pics on the internet) is just how damn good it sounds. I've got the ultimate funk thing going on with it, and on the other side of the spectrum, I've been able to get a Jaco-esque sound out of it. It's lovely, and better than girls. The setup from the factory was almost perfect. I'd like to thank the guys at Musicman for building an instrument like this with so much attention to detail and build quality, it's truly an excellent piece of engineering.

Enjoy the pics!

woooooow, that's exactly the ultimate Bongo I have in mind (except maybe I'd use a 5 string). So it's official: I hate you :D

You're right, it's the ultimate bongo. I could have got a bongo in a different colour, but I wanted that colour so bad. I feel a bit of an idiot, I waited four and a half months so I could have Pearl Blue, instead of Carbon Pearl Blue. I've got no right to complain!

I really like the combination of black pearloid on that blue. But then again I'm a sucker for black pearloid pickguards. Nice bass man.

Forget about the Bongo, I want that Cat Calendar!

Wish I could give it to you, but that's not mine. Those pictures were taken by an 'associate', I'm not enough in touch with my feminine side to give my room a purple finish :D

Thanks everyone! I'll post serial number in the serial number thread later.

It's amways such a pleasure hearing a newo Bongo owner comment on his new bass (I did that for 5 month).

Have much fun with it but...
It's lovely, and better than girls.
..maybe you should considere again about girls, some are worth it and will bring different joys than your Bong' ;)

What would be Rn'R without some groupies ?

I'll make a confession: I don't actually own a digital camera. Or a camera of any sort. But, as soon as I collar someone who does again, I'll do it. I'm kinda curious myself. :)

I keep coming back to look at your Bongo. Up until now I though I wanted a Desert Gold/Tort Bongo but now I think I would like a Pearl Blue with either the Black Pearl, Abalone or Tort pickguard.

I'm working on it, but I'm having incredible difficulty locating a digicam. I feel like I'm living in 1912.

This bongo actually claimed its first victim the other week, it shorted out the college amplifier. I wasn't even driving it at all, and it started making noises like there was a midget trapped inside it trying to get out. I shall have to start carrying disclaimer forms around with me, this thing is dangerous.
