Okay, here it is! The photos could be better, I'm going to take some better ones before I put it up on the "official" thread - but I was running out of excuses so I figured I'd better snap some shots!

Oh - the color is translucent blue - I guess the incandescent lights make it look greenish?

Without further ado:

If you can believe it, these are bad pictures. The blue is much more vivid and the ablone is deeper and darker in real life. Plus the guitar is waaay glossier in person - to give you an idea, notice how the bridge reflects off of the finish in the 3rd picture. Plretty much everything reflects off of this thing like that, the camera just doesn't show that. The only good thing I will say about the pictures is that they do show off the wood grain pretty well - in fact, the grain is not that visible unless under close inspection, it really is a translucent blue.

That is one of the nicest ALs I have seen. I really like that combination of colors a lot. I think you guys are really turning me on to one of these as well!

uvacom: try to take some pics in natural light. Flash photography is very hard to capture the actual subject properly. None the less, it looks freakin great!

WAY COOL AL

That was actually the original color/pg choice I ordered just before the envy green was introduced and I had them switch it mid-order.

Welcome to the club.
And just because it rocks, your decoder ring will also include abalone inlay;)

I saw your avatar a little bit ago and I almost freaked out because I thought you had the same AL as me - I've never seen an AL (or any other EBMM) in my color/pg combo so I feel pretty special - I'm sure somebody else probably has one exactly like mine somewhere, but I'd like to think I'm the only one. :D

Oh, and thanks to everybody else for the photography advice - I'll be the first to admit I know nothing about photography - I'll try to get out in the sun again tomorrow, and I'll study some pics in the guitar thread to get ideas for better angles.

Nice!!!

The abalone pickguard looks great on the trans blue. Very unique combo.

EBMM is definitely getting some nicely figured ash for the AL bodies.

Would love to see some pics of that taken in daylight - my abalone pg looks completely different in daylight and then artificial light - if poss go outside or open all your curtains and blinds to let in as much light as possible for a better pic :)

But congratulations - that's a stunner!

Okay, here are some much better pics - I'm still no photographer, but the lighting is much more flattering. I would have liked to take the pictures outdoors, but it was only about 20F outside today and I was afraid it might not be good for the guitar.
