So, after my JP15 my attention had immediately shifted to an L III. But this one stole my heart last week. And I couldn't help but to give her a new home today. What a beauty! And I can't say enough about the pickups. As someone who was raised to be a strat guy, I was looking for something a little more blues and vintage'esque. These are by far the best sounding and feeling single coil pickups I've played and the silent circuit and buffered output just take it to a new level. Can't wait to let her rip tonight!
This is a celebratory weekend too, as I have been dealing with damage to my left wrist and hand from carpal tunnel and a broken wrist from many years ago. This one is therapeutic! Way to go EBMM!

Needs some scratches, dirt rubbed in the fretboard, cigarette burns on the headstock, maybe a couple stickers bought at a truck stop - get to work on that stuff! :)

Kevin

PS - What part of Louval are you from? I grew up near there and still have lots of family in/around Lively Shively - just off wide, Wide, WIDE Dixie Highway.

Nice! I've been struggling with left hand issues also (in my case tendonitis in the left thumb joint; I'm a lefty playing righty) - I tried out an identical Cutlass at my local GC a few weeks ago and also immediately loved the neck and thought it would work for me. Glad it's working for you!

Small world - I lived most of my life in the Middletown/J'town area; I've only been in KC for 4 years.

Thanks everyone! I've played quite a bit since bringing it home and it continues to prove it's awesomeness, lol.

John, I spend a lot of time out in JTown as I have a lot of friends in that area. It's cool to run into people on here that have spent some time in the area. One of my main issues is swelling of my thumb tendons. The profile of the neck really fits my thumb joint well, especially when chording.

BP, I should be thanking you guys! I couldn't be happier to have thrown my hat in the EBMM ring after many years of playing. Your guitars ooze the passion that your team puts into every detail of them. It's truly a pleasure every time I pick one up! We're gonna give this one some time but a Valentine or Stingray could be next in line! Or even the hazel L III finally!

Very nice quick review, thanks! Can't wait to try one myself.

It's funny, last week I played it for about an hour and did some direct comparisons with a similar level instrument from another maker. After that I was pretty much sold, but I was looking for YouTube reviews that I hadn't seen yet. Just yesterday after I made the purchase, I noticed that Cooper Carter had posted his review video earlier in the week and it's once again a fantastic and informative review. If you haven't yet, you should check it out!

Texas Finally!
Nice and congrats, you will continue to enjoy it, the cutlass is a pleasant surprise for me. Wanted a stingray and got one then decided to get the cutlass. It has become my favorite of the two. Love the feel, tone and everything about it and they all look classy.

My stingray has hardly been touched since the cutlass came in:)

Enjoy:) I may need to get a cutlass with maple fretboard:p:eek:
