Ben Orr died waaay to young. 53 from pancreatic cancer. Here's an old video with him playing the most gorgeous bass.

I always thought that the Cars with Ben inparticular taking the lead should have gone on to be a major ROCK band, great playing and a very sweet looking Ray for sure. cheers for sharing.

I was first introduced to The Cars when I was in junior high school back in the late 80's by a neighbor of mine. Coincidentally, we were working on his car when he showed me their music. I was a fan from the instant I heard them. That sucks about Ben Orr.

Growing up in New England and Boston, The Cars were a major rock band. They were one of the foundations of the 80's sound.

Always dug the Cars. That's a beautiful bass. Loved his vocals, too, especially in "Drive".
