You know that Egyptian Smoke Fretless 5 Bongo that's been on Musiciansfriend's Scratch 'N Dent list for months? Yeah, I bought that.

It kept calling to me, so I went ahead and scooped it up. This will be my first Bongo, very excited.

I will stop here, because there are no pictures yet, so this thread is still in limbo...

It will be here next week...

...Warwick is not that bad of a drive from the city either...

But alas, MusicianFriend gave the news that this bass was actually sold to them in their "trade in your gear" ad, and all sales are final for this particular bongo.

It should arrive next week, plenty of pictures to go around to be sure.

Don't be bummed. You still got a good deal. Most likely the flaw will be so small you'll barely notice it.

Well here she is. I'm in love

Only flaws I could detect that led to a few bucks off would be the typical Bongo-Bump (tm) on the headstock, and the case is cracked in the corner, which does not affect it's integrity in any way.

I'm still trying to figure out all the controls, but I am a Bongo convert.
