Well, I placed my order December 29th...

Yesterday I got the call from my local guitar shop...

and brought home this:

Plays like a dream. The way a guitar should. I'm deliriously happy right now.

The quilt top looks like an ocean! Very cool. Dig the maple fretboard, too. I don't like the vintage white knobs and selector switch cap... I'd prob go for black replacements, but not a big deal! Just me opinion! Good snag!

Speaking of cosmetic changes, has anybody put pickup covers on their Axis's's (Axsi?) ? How does it affect the sound? I love the finish but I'm admittedly not crazy about the zebras.

That is an awesome guitar. One of the best looking Axis I've seen. On my Axis, the volume knob cracked so I replaced it with a chrome knob that had a mother of pearl insert that matches the tuning keys. I'll try to post a pic if your interested in seeing it. I though it turned out real well.
