I had a rather hectic day yesterday - got the call that my bass had arrived, so after work I jumped on the tube and picked it up. Then I jumped straight back on the tube, headed to my gig that I was playing at 2 hours later got changed in the toilet, sound checked and then played.

Having never played the bass before I was a little nervous, and did make a couple of minor errors, but the sheer power and tone blew me (and several members of the audience) away!

Strange co-incedence that I haven't played a gig for 3 months, and have a recording session booked this weekend - good timing EBMM!

Got alot more comments that I usually do about the bass after the gig and alot of people were loving the look of it too.

During the wait for it to arrive I had started to doubt my choice of colour combo. Let me tell you now that as soon as the case opened those doubts went, and to be truthful my knees went a little weak.

The white pearl colour is immense, not too sparkly but just enough in the right light (which I've done my best to try and capture with an iphone and poor lighting!)

So anyway, no pics no bass right!??

I'm just headed to my first practice with it, then got a weekend of recording so I'll be able to post my thoughts along with some action pics/vids hopefully.

All I can say is I have wanted this bass for the last 10 years and after having worked damn hard for a while I'm in the fortunate position of owning one.

Was it worth the wait/effort?
HELL YES :D

Love the color combo. Your pictures made me reconsider pearl white, specially the one showing the sparkles!

BTW there are few other instrument makes that let you play a gig with it just after taking it out of the case for the first time!

Awesome finish, I love the shimmer. I'd put a white pickup cover on that, pronto.

Congrats on a beautiful bass guitar!

Thanks for the comments.

I'm falling more and more in love with it everyday, it now feels like an extension of me. The tone during recording was phenomenal, like nothing I have ever experienced before. Everyone else was an hour late to rehearsal which meant I had plenty of noodling time to mess with the settings.

I found 'my sound' pretty quickly - boosted bass and a little off the treble (although I suspect I may leave the treble at 0 once the strings dull a little).

It plays like a dream and is so comfortable, I was expecting it to be heavier than it is (although I haven't weighed it) and I had no issues wearing it for the 5 or so hours I was recording for.

I generally could not be happier with my purchase. :D

Congrats! As a fellow lefty, I can understand how hard it is to find "the one". I love that color too!

Beautiful finish, congrats! I'm gonna have to go to my local GC tomorrow anyways so i'll look for one. Have to agree with Steamthief on the white PU cover.

Not so sure on the white PU cover. It would be a brighter white and would break up the black soul of the bass (to match my black heart haha).

I will probably try it one day though, as I will try many different PG's I imagine.

I don't envisage ever having the heart to get rid of this one so experimentation/cosmetic surgery will no doubt follow later on down the line. Which is pretty similar to what I told my girlfriend when she bought up the marriage subject come to think of it.
