Most of us know that EBMM in general and BP in particular isn't very popular among bass players who frequent these interwebz.

The former because of their refusal to make me too or same old same old instruments and the latter because of his refusal to kowtow to anyone, his gruff candor and firm control of this forum.

Still it's pretty sad that people go out of their way to troll the forum because of their dislike of EB and BP. It's a sort of backhanded compliment actually that these trolls expend energy on such activities and BP probably feels flattered that he is the object of their attention. It tells him that he figures greatly in their lives.
What a bunch of losers.

Is this thread really necessary? And I think you are letting a minor, but loud contingent of naysayers get to you. Likely most people don't even care, there will always be haters, and they will almost always be the loudest in the group. Don't worry about it, BP doesn't need a pick me up here and neither does EBMM.

No offense, I like you a lot, but if anything, as unreasonable an inconsequential as it is, its threads like this that give the haters more ammo.

My take on this is that there are always malcontents looking to stir crap for no reason but to stir crap and make themselves feel like they are accomplishing something. The reality is that they are accomplishing nothing. We all know that EB under the steering of BP produces some of the best quality instruments to be had. No amount of BS is going to change that! The truth is the truth and it will always come out in the end.

The more they talk the firmer I stand behind EB and BP, who have given me the tools I have been looking for all my musical life. :)

So glad I found this forum.

I didnt even realise people actually came on here to cause trouble, but now I see what you mean. What a shame.

A) Why?

B) How do they get the time to do it?

C) WHY?!

Wait a minute....its not a problem or issue. Anyone who takes aposition is subject to lovers and haters....the haters are always more vocal...I really am not bothered by it.

THe real fact is that someone who goes sideways here really has to sit back and think..." I had access to the owner, the designers, the artists of Ernie Ball Music Man and was asked to leave...less than twenty out of hundredds of thousand of visitors have been such jerks that they arent allowed. They go to the next forum and usually get banned there. Lets let this go please.

For what its worth. I'm not on here very often these days but I continue to love my SUB. I won't part with it. It was my first bass. It gets played regularly and is also gigged. Yes, I have other basses but the SUB is my pal. If funds allow the only other bass I now would like is a classic SR4. Just ignore people who wish to cause trouble. Life is too short. Play your MM bass and be delighted that you own a quality instrument.

This is the first time I have ever been on the Bass side and I land on a post like this lol. The only opinion that matters to what you like is your own, so if you are here that says it all. There is not one guitar company or prominent player that I have never seen someone write and say they suck, be it on a forum or Youtube and I learned long ago it is nothing but a waste of my time arguing with whatever is on the other end of the line. To be honest I like dropping in on neutral forums like HC or the GP to see what the masses are saying about the latest gear, and to be honest EBMM is always rated right at the top in tone, playability and quality, and the few negatives I may see are as Sterling already stated, by an ex forum member that got booted.

It's actually pretty humorus. Like the guy a few days ago with the routed 30th with the Warwick bridge. An obvious ploy to get people fired up. I just think people take offense to not being able to talk about anything they want.

They don't understand that this is not an open bass forum but an Ernie ball forum where we freely talk about anything Ernie ball related.

The reality is what BP says is law, and should be followed.

Just to be clear, you can say "TI Flats" or "Fender" or "Warwick" or anything else you can think of (NOT GIBSON, NEVER SAY GIBSON).

The whole thing with "F&*d#R" and all that - it's just a joke.
