Since the 25th anniversary marks a pivotal moment in EB's history why not celebrate with a most unique option for the 25th ann models? I've been dying to see black hardware on an EB for a while now. I know it is a demand type thing that keeps it from becoming a reality, BUT if it were offered on the 25th anniversary models ONLY as a ONE TIME offering wouldn't that put it in high demand?!

This celebration of 25 years in business is a momentous occasion and deserves a legendary product to commemorate the blood, sweat, and tears that have been poored into the EB products for 25 years solid!!

:D:D

I'm sure they're thinking of something even bigger than this. Something in the lines of the 20th silo or the 30th Ray or something even more radical. I'm praying for single coils on tone blocks :D

That would be cool as well! I'm just hoping they really take this one to the next level and offer up something that is just out of this world!

I'm thinking a chambered/semi hollow Axis and/or StingRay would be pretty neat. Something that is drastically different from what the company does now, but still celebrating the heritage! :)

I'm sure whatever it is, it will be well thought out.

Active EQ on a guitar perhaps? The pre-EB guitars had it, why not try again with modern electronics and sounds in mind?

With apologies to Sterling (as we know that he already provides countless combinations and options), I too would love an AL with a Floyd, but with three mini buckers like those on the Gold Roller....now that would really do it for me. Otherwise, the three MM90s work fine for me. In the meantime, though, I am just happy to be able to play the EBMMs that I currently have!

Grumpy: you've got quite the collection!

I think the 25th will be unique and unlike any other model available. I really think black hardware would set it off though! It should be pretty cool to see what they cook up for us...

How about a Flying V Music Man!!! like the Volcano style Reverend guitar....that would be a cool edition to the line up.The angles could be more like the Albert in shape and would look great with a 25th logo. V for Victory

Newbie here, but I'll play:

How about for a 25th Anniversary, a mix of guitars made over the years?

Axis Body - BFR with Mahogany Tone Block
Petrucci Piezo Tremolo and Control set (5-Way selector for pups)
3 MM90's from the AL model
Luke Neck Carve and profile - maple board
Perhaps even a 10"-15" Compound Radius to cover the models:
10" - Axis, AL, Silo
12" - Luke, Morse
15" - Petrucci

Danny,

I guess I'll just have to "close" my eyes when I scroll down this thread!!! It's just so BIG, maybe if you make the headstock a little smaller!!

Oh, by the way, how about a EVH re-issue??? No, no, don't start this down the wrong path, I think it's a "viable" suggestion for a 25th.
