Hi
Ive got problem with my piezo bridge since i bought my guitar and everytime im using tremolo bridge the G string decays so i can hardly hear it and it sounds like overdriven but very quiet.
Lifting and placing it again seem to help for a moment but thats not a resolve thats probably one thing that makes me unhappy with my 2006 model i'll try to get pictures later on tonight and if its necessary i will record clip and put it on youtube so you will have clear "piture" on whats going on with my guitar .

Thanks
Adrian

Unless there is a specific UK # , you want to do +1 866 823 2255. Or check online for customer service's email address. That's free :)

As people have said give strings n things (uk Distributor) a ring.

I had to rebuild a Piezo unit on a beat up EB guitar and ended up getting new piezo saddles. The saddles contain a small piezo "crystal" that sits in your saddle - the bit the string goes over. Slacken the string and pull it to one side - get a cocktail stick and press the cocktail stick hard against the "crystal" - they are peened into the saddle and on my guitar a few were missing from some of the saddles. By using the cocktail stick trick you can at least make sure that the crystal is seated right. But please - contact Strings n Things - they should be able to help.

just as a thought, i know BP isnt fond of people doing diagnosis, but i think the key wording on there was when using the trem.
Piezos work on pressure so if the pressure isnt on the saddle you could get the symptoms described if the trem is pushed downwards as the pressure on the saddle decreases. is it not working when you arent using the trem i would think would be a major consideration. but contact strings and things anyway to put your mind at rest!

That's exactly what happens when i have saddle on neutral position (and by saying neutral i mean just on the middle) I can hear harsh sounding on G string when all others work fine i even changed battery but the probblem persists.

I will give strings n things a call on monday and see if they can help but i dont know how to ask ;/ as i havent noticed any advertise on their webpage.

Thanks
Adrian

Jeez stoopid me!! I lost sight of that.
1000% - spot on - yeah if you dive the trem, the piezo will decay for the reason above. It happens with mine and there's not a lot you can do about it.

Youre not stupid its just not that problem mentioned above as i know how the system works but dont know how much i can pull out this saddle. There is harsh on a string G and I can't hear A string(ive noticed that this morning) but i really dont have guts to do the trick with the coctail stick.:confused:I just dont know how that can affect the piezo system(affraid of replacing saddle ;/)

Ok - I misinterpreted your post cos you said ... ... "everytime im using tremolo ..."

Pressing a cocktail stick against the face of the crystal will just ensure that it's seated ok.

I think you'd better contact CS or take it to a reputable Luthier if you don't have the confidence?

Haha again! U didnt misinterpreted it does happen its like that it is working but when i use tremolo i cant hear those 2 strings afterwards. SO i think that something must be moving underneath this smal piece of steel.

How fat can you pull it up(saddle)?

How far can you pull up the saddle?

It's not the saddle that could be the issue it's probably the Piezo crystal that sits in the saddle that may be the issue.

BP really doesn't like more than general advice given in issues like this, as someone really needs to look at the guitar to resolve this so I'll "duck out" at this stage and wish you good luck in resolving the issue.

Before you phone up Strings n Things you will have to tell them whether or not the reverse of the saddles have the letter "R" stamped in them - it stands for "Reverse Wound" - like in this photo. Hope this helps?
