My Y2D has been giving me crackling noises whenever the slightest pressure is placed on the cable. I have tried different cables and guitars, so I believe it's something in the jack of the Y2D. I have no idea about what to do to fix this problem, and I wasn't sure if I should post this in a general guitar forum, but you guys seem knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks!

The first line of defense is always to call/email customer service.

That said, if you're handy, you can unscrew the jack plate and have a look at it. Most likely the prong on the jack that makes contact with the plug needs to be pushed forward a bit, putting more pressure on the plug. Just a bit though.

But- it could be something else. So unless you feel confident taking things apart, call CS first. Also try other cables to rule out a bad one :)

If the gtr is still under warranty, pls contact EB customer service.

If it is not...my 2002 Axis Sport recently started having output jack issues too. I finally got the gtr to my trusted tech and he felt the jack was being compressed a little due to the narrowness of the output jack rout. He cleanly dremeled out a small bit of wood, wired up a new Switchcraft output jack and the gtr is perfect again. Just my 2 cents...
