Hi Guys,
I've just posted a new video using my custom SSS Axis Super Sport. I used the new Wampler Tumnus into a Mesa Mini Rec with a Two Notes Torpedo studio. The range of tone from this new guitar is amazing. I love being able to introduce the neck pickup with either just the bridge of the bridge and middle pick up. It adds a really glassy quality to the tone. The mahogany body with maple top is a such a vibrant combination. Living in Sweden the winter is very harsh on guitar necks; I have to have a humidifier in my studio, but this roasted maple is a solid as anything.. absolutely no movement. Check out the video and see what you guys think. I am planning a full demo video of the guitar as my next project, cheers Jamie

Wow... Jamie... awesome tone-age! It’s an Axis Special (like a Silo Special)!!! I’d dig me that configuration, for sure! Is the HB the stock axis bridge pup?

Thanks for you comment.. The guitar is actually a one off custom guitar that EBMM built for me to celebrate 20 years of me being an endorsee. The guitar has my specific configurations and spec. The body is African Mahogany with the maple top, roasted maple neck with jumbo stainless steel frets. The pickups and wiring is pretty unique. I had an old telecaster that had a hot rail i loved. This same hot rail was put in my Silhouette Special that was built for me when i was in The Australian Pink Floyd Show. I always wanted this configuration in an Axis. I had had a demo stock single coil Axis Sport in 1998 that I used for clinics and demos. I also own a prototype Axis Sport which is HSS configuration. With help for Steve Blutcher at DiMarzio we had a Satch Track Hot Rail put in the bridge of this guitar, and injector single coils neck and middle. There is a preamp boost as a push/push on the volume pot. I also have a push/push tone pot which engages the neck pickup with any other pickup, so you can have neck and bridge on or all three pickups together. The guitar also has a piezo circuit, with dual outputs. I didn't want the piezo volume on the guitar as I alway control it with a pedal, so instead the pot is inside the electronics cavity. I leave it set. Its a very unique Axis, a total one of a kind.. cheers Jamie

Loved the playing Jamie, you killed it. And of course the tone of the Axis is through the roof.

Time to sell all of my guitars now.
