JB&59 instead of dimarzios on Axis SS

Hey guys,
Has anyone here tried this Seymour Duncan combo on their super sport? I've had them on ESP eclipse I've sold a while ago and liked them a lot. I'm wondering how would they work with the super sport?

As for the JB, ive heard great things, its kinda hot paf style, with the 59 Im not sure, im sure its a great pickup, i just have no exp with it myself. Only one way to find out with pickups, that is to get them and try'em! Lol. No, really I love swapping pickups,sometimes you come across a great sound, like a good body wood pickup combo, have fun man, but ps , thanks for the first dibs on the axis pickups, ive been lookin for a set forever!

The JB works great on certain guitars. I find they work better for guitars like an LP. The JB is not my favorite HB in the world, but they work really great in mahogany guitars. They have a weird upper mid-spike thing going on in something like an alder guitar. It will cut like a knife. Think 80s Hard Rock tone.

I love the SD 59 in the neck position in most guitars. It is pretty classic.

With all that said, I think the stock Dimarzios are one of the best humbuckers for that instrument. They are fine tuned for that guitar.

I put a Pearly Gates in the bridge position of my SUB Silo. Sounds great even with the 250 pots. I think it would be a good match with the 59.
