I posted a month or so ago that i would be getting a Silo. Well hopefully i will be next saturday. Finished in blue pearl,white pickgaurd, trem, maple fretboard and an unfinished headstock. I am trading an Ibanez JEM for it (2002, lo pro trem, blue sparkle).

I believe a lot of people here have unloaded their Jems for some real gems!

Yep... congratulations Musicman. I too am a recent convert. I was gonna buy a Jem7... but a vision came unto me ;) ... EBMM all the way!! :D

Isn't a JEM technically worth quite a bit more than a silo (in terms of resale)? I just bring it up because you wouldn't want to sell yourself short, at least here in the states you could get two silos from the proceeds of one JEM.

I was thinking the same when the thought came to me to trade it in. For a couple of weeks or so i was scanning the web and the bay to find out roughly what a JEM7 would go for. I found they sell for around £900-£1000. In the UK Musicman guitars are harder to get hold of than in the U.S (they are more expensive aswell :mad: ) So a JEM would be worth around the same as a Silo.

I am also prepared to put some money with the JEM to get that silo !

BTW: thanks to the member who mentioned guitars4you to me (i think it was Jimmy someone lol, i can't remember !)

So if the deal goes ok on Saturday i will have a Silo by Saturday afternoon !
