If it were through body string then I could understand it. What kind of wizardry is this ?

I had the same thought when I first saw the Stingray Special, but now the old style bridges on Bongo & Sterling look odd to me.

Probably thread insert wood nuts instead of wood screws - but I'm not sure here.
Three screws also at the Stingray5 Special with much more string-pull.

I love the look of those anchor bolts. But they were adding weight and not utility, so off they went.

I still have a "few" with the anchor bolts, though.

That’s my trail of thought as I cannot see how three wood screws would hold it

Still getting my head around the radical change but progress is progress at the end of the day. I really need to see one up close
