I just saw the Eagles last night at the Worcester DCU Center. What a great show! They played for almost three hours. Joe's tone is fantastic live. Why you ask?

-Black Sparkle ASS Rosewood matching
-Candy Red Luke
-Butter Cream Silo Special

and their other guitar player:
-Silo 20th! Maple, Matching, Trem (Piezo?)
-Egyptian Smoke Silhouette Bass Guitar
-Ernie ball Silo DOubleneck (awesomeeee!)
-Regular Silhouette

among many many other guitars! Now, what does Joe use for amps?

His tone was phenomenal throughout the entire night. Had that awesome **chink** sound with every note picked. Really dynamic and awesome. ANyone else see the eagles on their "Assisted Living" (hahaha) Tour?

Pittman,

No doubt!! Musicman fits right into their premium quality legendary sound!!

As I've said myself many times before, Joe Walsh (Eagles) is one of the absolute very best guitar players ever - hands down, compared to anyone out there.

Anyone who has ever tried to play "exactly" note for note his (their) songs, would understand the skill and dexterity involved.

As far as their tone, what is there to say - magnificent!!!!!! I believe they still play Fenders and Marshalls.

You must have really enjoyed yourself.

I'm almost inspired to keep my luke now that I saw 2 of my Idols play them...I just want to see his rigs. I love his tone, its so clear but it has plenty of gain and oh....

I'm drooling.

Anyway, if you have the opportunity to get tickets- you will not be let down! They played for almost 3 and a half hours...Joe Walsh is crazy on stage! They are very tight and play great.

Could you see Joe's facial expressions, Nick? They're priceless. I agree with the respect for Joe. His ending lead in "Hotel California" is the reason I MUST be able to bend a tone and have the other strings stay in tune (3 springs in all my trems).

You're KEEPING one of your guitars??? I might be able to keep up with what you own.... Probably not.....

Keep the Luke! I actually went on a quest playing a bunch of those....you know guitars...... to see what you saw in them. I still don't get it....but to each his own.

I was at a Laker game on nov 5 and Joe played the national anthem on a piezo petrucci through orange amps. Sounded fantastic. Single note stuff for the first part and more chordal during the second half of song. Beautiful sounding version

Ive seen slash play it also about 7 years ago...but not on a music man

Yes I could see his expressions. It kinda looks like there might be a little leprechaun inside his shirt pinching him right when he's bending a note or something :D

And yes, suprisingly enough, you may be able to keep up with me.

Joes amps

from seeing live footage etc. i do beleive he uses crate, dr Z, fender, Line 6, marshall and boogie. he's got em all.obviously he hasn't used all these amps at once but over a course of 30 years. 'he also uses a lot of boss pedals

I wish I would have seen that....Joe kicks ass!!!

Luke, JP, Albert Lee, Morse, Joe Walsh...is it a coincidence that some of the best musicians on the world play Music Man....I dont think so.

Joe has such a great feel and plays such incredible slide! I think it's awesome that these guys could play any guitar out there, but when it comes down to it, they go with EBMM. SWEET!!! I had the same feeling when I saw John Fogerty playin a JP on TV.

I don't know if he still does, but Joe used to use Dr. Z amps. I can't say for sure though that they make up his live rig.
