Hey just read an Vintage guitar online article and I thought maybe you will enjoy the mentioning of EBMM especially Dudley Gimple´s work .
Maybe some of the forces can give us some insight on the work on John Fogerty´s guitars. I´ve seen him with an Axis in blue lately.

Great article (it's a long one!). Thanks for sharing.
John had his blue axis and also a Sunburst Silo.
I'm surprised he doesn't use an Al. I would guess it's because one of his competitors names is on the headstock.

Is this a new article? I know he did one a while back that included some kudos to EB and myself.

BTW, Albert Lee has appeared on Fogerty recordings, and John has expressed very high respect for him!

They both ROCK!!!!!!!!

You are right Dudley, it was in Vintage guitar Magazine Feb 2006. The article says it at the bottom. But now it´s free available via their site.
Since it is a big hazzle to get this mag in germany I take the easier way. 1, 5 years late, well ok:rolleyes:

Maybe you can share some insight working with him.

John is a childhood hero, and in my opinion perhaps the American equivalent of the Beatles!! It has been an honor to work with him, and I've enjoyed the experience very much. I only wish I could see a Music Man guitar in his hands more often!!!!

John is definitely a guy who savors all the flavors of guitar out there, and is constantly searching for the best sound for every tune, and a combination of vintage and modern guitar tones. He is a difficult guy to pin down, and perhaps his choice of different sounds is part of what we like about him and his songs, but hey- WE JUST WANT HIM TO PLAY'EM ALL ON A MUSIC MAN hahaha!

BTW, BP has a "John Fogerty Special" hanging on his office wall in SLO, autographed by John that says "Sterling, you're the best!!" I guess that says it all...

Very cool article; it's always interesting to see someone who's "made it" talk about wanting to better themselves at playing.

I also love it when someone noted for playing the "classics" also loves the new instruments that are out there, and a great shout out to Dudley on the EBMMs.
