Seems like JP is hiding his rig from all us rabid DT fans so that we won't comment on it prematurely. :D

It's cool that JP is out there road-testing the F1. I guess we'll see what survives and what doesn't. I hope he can finalize the thing by NAMM.

It's probably the fly rig. Keep in mind they might be rocking smaller venues there so it's advantageous to keep the kit to a minimum on the stage. Last I heard, the rig he took to South America on the last tour had that custom Boogie pre in it...the one with the green faceplate that may or may not exist...and it (the B rig) still exists as a single rack (which it was then) with some different stuff in it. Skrydstrup and Mario from Axess have both mentioned recently that their products are involved with the rigs (methinks the small has a mixture of both and an FX-1 as the controller...I could be wrong, but he's using both maker's midi controllers these days...one each for the A and B rigs.). He'd take the smaller one along due to cartage costs like he did on the last South American swing most likely...

I don't think it looks very Ibanez-y.

I never cared much for the RG bodystyle that Ibanez has been milking to death as "signature" guitars and everything else for 20 years.

Too square and pointy. *shrug*

I'm really pleased with the current JP bodystyle. :)

Okay just wanted to clear up something here real quick. I am not saying that it looks exactly like his Old IBZ Sig model, and even if that were so that would not be a bad thing. I use to own his IBZ and I thought it was a great guitar, nothing compared to the quality of EBMM, but still a great guitar. With that lower horn cut and the different body shape, TO ME, it just resembles the IBZ a little, and again that is not a bad thing, I have nothing against IBZ's I sell them, and I think they make great guitars, of course nothing like EBMM that is why I currently own 2 and are waiting for my third, which I can guarantee will not be my last.
So anyway just wanted to share that. :)

Good point on the reduced rig.

G3 2006 Rig (FX1, GRX4 & CFX4 x2)

I was right....FX1 for control...cfx4's to control amp functions, and the grx4 to loop up some pedals and such...
