This time it is a natural finish neck with matching headstock.

I am curious what is the tweak for this one over the past Bongo

(btw he switches back to HH model !)

For the love of all that is good and nice, why would you post about a natural Bongo 6HH string and NOT POST A PICTURE?!?!?!?!!?!?!

I think he did - and what he meant was that the back of the neck is not painted. At least it looks a that way in the picture. (I was wondering a bit about that myself, until I re-read the sentence and looked at the picture again.)

That's...very odd. Sorry about the outburst. I feel much better now. :D

I don't know why I couldn't see the picture (or, even that there was a picture). But, when I quote, i see it.

Odd.

I love some black Bongo.

Is the back of the neck just a clear coat, or is it oiled like other EBMM basses?

Either way, too many strings for me.

Back of neck is oil & wax..... played it before it left the factory, Bongos are incredible in any form!

So are there any changes have been made over the previous Bongo like the width of fretboard, fretboard radius or wood type?

There are a few changes from the last 2 we built for John, other features are the same.
Bongo 6 body
Bongo 5 neck width, same as the previous
HH configuration, we usually make HS for John. Pickups are bongo 5 size with 6 pole pieces
Rotary 5 position blend pickup selector knob
As mentioned a very flat neck profile on the back, gun stock oil wax finish

The selector knob (as I recall) there were full bridge & full neck selections, both pups full, and percentages of each in the other positions.
