Im starting to save up for this guitar and my main concern is about the bridge. So how far can I scoop with it, going both directions? De-tuning shouldnt be a problem. Im sure I can dive down more than im going to need to, but can I really pull up on the bar as well to increase my pitch?
Im not too big on going crazy with the bar (think Dragonforce), but I love to be playing a scale, a little riff or whatever, having the bar facing backwards (away from the neck) and making it bounce on certain notes. Im sure you all know what im talking about or have heard it, where the string bounce rather quick to get a weird fluttering sound.
The last MM guitar I played, which wasnt a BFR 7 model, only allowed for maybe 5mm of play, and that isnt enough room, unless I want the bridge to be bashing into the body each time, which I also wouldnt want.
If there is little movement on the BFR 7 bridge, what would be the best solution? I dont want to buy another brand of 7-string, so replacing the bridge and some body work would be in order, yeah? Or can Ernie Ball do a small custom job when I order?
Haha, meant for this to be short, but oh well.
