Hi,
Could somebody give me some informations about the John Petrucci DiMarzio Pickups (Specifications like Output level, Bass, medium, trebble levels,....) ?
Are they closed to other DiMarzio pickups ? What are the differences ?
What is the reference of the piezo which is used in the EBMMJPM ?

I believe they they mention similar pickups on the Di Marzio website. Which are the pickups John Petrucci used before, the Air Norton and Steves Special.

Not sure about the piezo though.

Thanks.
But what are the differences between the Air Norton and Steve's special pickups and the Petrucci custom pickups ?

From what l remember, l think the Custom pickups had more output and more mids.

This topic has been discussed 1 million times on the John Petrucci and Dream Theater Forum. I'll trying finding one of the threads and get back to you.

I have found this on DiMarzio website :

The 6-string neck model is very similar to the Air Norton™. The sound of the bridge pickup resembles the Steve's Special™, although it is not as close.
The 7-string Air Norton™ is fairly close to the MusicMan neck pickup, and the Blaze™ bridge model is the closest-sounding available bridge pickup.

I have received an (short) answer from DiMarzio :

"The neck pickup is almost identical in performance to the Air Norton.
The bridge model has a little more midrange and a little less treble and
bass than the Steve's Special."
