Hello All, and thanks for allowing me to join this forum!

I've been playing and working on guitars for ~26 years. I decided to step my game up along the way and attend Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery and took an amplifier/electronics class while there.

I am currently working on my first electronic repair of a JP model and am stumped...

I have searched and found many pics/diagrams of schematics, but can't match the model with any of the information provided...

I suspect it's been modified as the solder joints are not very professional...

The cavity contains 1 3-way switch with 12 terminals mounted on a PCB, 1 standard Vol pot, and 1 standard Tone pot... No push-pulls or PCB/wires for Piezo Saddles... AND, the bridge pickup does not have a blade like most models pictured

Question:

Have any models had the above configuration?

Ailment:

Neck pup is significantly weaker than bridge. Once unsoldered and directly run into the amp, both pups had balanced output...

The leaves the switch as suspect...

Where can I source a replacement switch?

Thank you, in advance, for your time and assistance!
Gordo!

Yes, it sounds like a normal JP6 without the piezo made before they changed the pickups.

Any 4PDT switch should do, I have a Dimarzio one in my seven string and (although not a EBMM JP), it works fantastic for splitting the humbuckers in the middle position.

NINJA EDIT: I found a comparison chart that shows the different JP models here

As your JP doesn't have the metal bar in the bridge pickup, it must be a JP made before 2005 (the D-Sonic had the bar as well). If you want to know the exact build date of your guitar, you can post your serial number in this thread: Serial Numbers : What is the production date of my guitar?

Another quickie:

Does anyone have a valid eMail address to reach customer service?

I searched EB site, to no avail...

I also called CS, but receptionist said lines were backed up...

Thanks again!
