Hey all, I Just recently got into these forums (about 10 seconds ago) cuz I want to ask a few questions about the JP EBMM. Anyways, I wanted to see ALL of your petrucci guitars in this thread because i'm going to be purchasing one soon and I need to decide on what color to get haha! Also, I have a couple questions concerning the guitar.

1. How long does it take to order a fully loaded JP with a different color than is offered in your guitar store?

2. Is it possible to order the new JP's with the d-sonic pickup in the bridge?

Anyways, please post your pictures and any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Flame, welcome.

This has been done a boat load of times. Use the Search function you'll find ever picture known to man about JP's there.

Normal wait period is 6 months.

I'm pretty sure that the JP's no come standard with the d-sonic pickup in the bridge position.

Welcome to the forums! There are some other threads that have different pics of JPs, so I don't think anyone will post their pics in this one. May want to do a quick search.

To answer your questions:

1. Takes about 3 months in the US to get a new JP straight from the factory, sometimes longer.

2. ALL the new JPs come with the d-sonic bridge. There is no option to order without.

I just ordered a White JP about 3 weeks ago and it should arrive in mid-may. I ordered white because 1) not many people have one (or have seen it in person) 2) my mystic dream has most of the darker colors covered 3) the black pickups, knobs, and rosewood look good with the white body and headstock.

Good luck deciding on a color. It is not an easy task that is for sure. And don't be surprised if you have second thoughts on the color after you order it!!!

The wait is around 6 months now for EBMM to build your JP to your specs. But if a dealer around you has one on order or in stock, you can get yours in a much shorter time. Customer service would be more than happy to help you track one down.

All the new JPs have the D-sonic in the bridge.

Welcome to the forums!

any dealers close by, so you can see them in person?
Yea, I already went into GC to see what they had to say about it. They called up ernie ball about ordering a regular stingray but said it'd take about 6 months to do that. I've never been too big into buying signature guitars, but after playing the petrucci for a couple more hours (i've played the petrucci to death before at GC), I decided I couldnt deny myself such an amazing guitar. Anyways, they say they have some in the back (but it might not be the color or specs im looking for) and he SAID It'd be no problem to order a petrucci (and that it wouldnt take nearly 6 months) but i'm not sure if he knew what he was talking about since you guys are telling me it takes just as long for a JP as it does for a standard stingray heh :D

Edit: Oh and to let you guys know why I didn't take a look at what they had in the back room, I need to sell my ESP Horizon NT-II before I buy any new guitars heh :)

Welcome! Go for the JP!!! OK, sell your ESP but only if you are gonna buy a stock guitar, if not you'll be without axe for six months. If you plan to order a new one with your own specs, you can make a small first payment and one or two months before get the JP then sell the ESP.

Welcome to the Addiction!

To add to what everyone is saying, there are hundreds of pics floating in the forum of JP's.

Another place to see a few right now would be in the "For Sale" section up top of the thread list. Most people post pics or links to the guitars they are selling. It is a good start.

Maybe foggy and all 10 gazillion of his pics will show up to give you an idea. :D
