Hello there!
May you help me please? I’m very thankful!

I have a JP-15 and I was wondering about how great would be if was possible to use the push/pull knob for:

a) split the coils of neck and bridge pickup as well;

b) create others combinations between pickups coils, in order to emulate strato switchs 2 and 4.

Is there a way to do that?

Thank you very much!

I would think not without radically re-wiring the entire guitar. It has only a 3 way switch for the pickup selector, so at most I think you might be able to split the bridge and neck humbuckers on their own. However, then you would get hum, and the JP was designed to have no hum in any position.

As for the second question, I don't see how you could use the existing hardware to get the "notch" positions. Without a middle pickup, you really CAN'T get the notch positions. The best you can get is the inner coils in parallel, as they are already wired. With two pickups there are only so many sounds you can get.

Yes, I can imagine the great risk to the guitar electric settings. For that I’ve come, firstly, to this fórum, in order to hear some advices.

I will let the guitar the way it is.

I have a Jackson in alder body with Steves Special and Liquifire and I get very good strat sounds witch switch in 2 and 4 positions. It will be great get that in a JP15.

All the best, tbonesullivan!
Happy Christmas and a great new year!
