I'm new to piezo. What's the correct setup for using the piezo correctly so I can mix the piezo with the magnetic? Do I need two separate amps? I have a Hugh's and Kettner with a single input. I saw a post where the guy had two mono cables into the guitar; however, what he was running to wasn't revealed.

There are many ways to run the signal out of the JP. Piezo into a normal guitar amp is not usually pleasant sounding. I prefer to run that to a PA or you can use an acoustic amp. That gives you the most flexibility and control over the tone.

Methods to get it there:
1. Stereo cable out of the stereo jack>splitter> one output to guitar amp, one to acoustic/pa

2. 2 mono cables out of each jack, connect one to guitar amp, other to acoustic/pa

3. Stereo to mono 'Y' cable: out from stereo jack, connect one cable from other end to guitar amp, other cable to acoustic/pa

4. My method: stereo cable to Stereo A/B/Y Box. One output to guitar amp, other to PA. Keep mag/piezo switch in middle position. I then use the pedal to switch between or mix output. Hands free. You can adjust volume using the controls on guitar. Here is the pedal I use: startouchpedals ABY stereo pedal
