correct me if I'm wrong...once you set the bridge as low as you can go, and you want the action to be a smidge lower, you can lower each saddle individually, right?
peat said:get a tiny allen key
and there are two screws on either side of each saddle
give them equal spins (to keep your saddle level)
i usually go with quarter turns
fsmith said:Yes and don't forget you also have the trussrod adjustment available as well.
Between the 3 adjustments you can make the action any way you like it.

oh, are they english or metric unit allen keys on the saddles?
peat said:no idea
i got a huge set
the second smallest one fits
and it fits the trem bar tightener as well
did your jp come with any tools?
i know yours was 2nd hand
mine was new and it came with no tools
are you supposed to get tools?
i want tools![]()
peat said:i suggest you check the faq http://www.ernieball.com/site/faq_guitar.php
the trem bar tightener you will find if you depress the bridge and look on the back of it
youll see a little black hole in line with the trem bar
i like my trem bar to stay where i put it
some people like it to swing around freely
it is so well designed
i remember my rg i would tighten it up and after touching it it would have loosened itsef
i set the tightness on my jp6 the day i got it
and its been exactly the same ever since

I don't think any of the EBMM guitars do, unless the Floyd-equipped ones come with the 3 or 3.5 mm for the locking nut?
PeteDuBaldo said:I've gotten a few in with allen wrenches for adjusting the truss rod & saddle heigh, along with extra tremolo springs. The majority of the time (especially the past 4-5 months) there have been no tools, just springs.

SteveB said:I stand corrected.
Indeed, mine did come with tremolo springs.
PeteDuBaldo said:You were 80% correct!![]()
PeteDuBaldo said:Well, not corrected, but now you have more informationI've had somewhere over 50 JPs come through, and I would say maybe ten or so had a wrench with them.

MikeVt said:I've been a way for a while, but I figured I'd add some info I didn't see. Assuming all JP's are the same, the allens that fit the best for me are 1.5mm for the bridge saddle screws, and 4mm for the bridge post screws...
