jp mm necks

i was curious since im ordering a jp mm how do the necks play. i played a wizard neck on the jem and it was incredily fast smooth and flat andi was just wondering if the jp mm plays similar or better

I have a wizard. The JP is FASTER.

Although it took me about 2 weeks to fully appreciate the JP neck (after years of playing Wizard-2 necks), I have to say I like the JP better. I can play it for longer periods of time without fatigue.

JP neck is better, IMO. Faster and more comfortable.

thank you for the replys. how flat is the neck and how are the frets becase i have an ibanez 320dx and the neck is really not flat enough

JP neck is very thin. Almost too think for me. But I played a PRS Custom 22 with a wide fat neck for 8 years, and then got the JP. So it was quite a change. But it is a fast, thin neck with a pretty flat profile.

Plus, the fret end finishing is some of the best I've ever seen, period.

The JP neck is pretty darn flat. The frets are.. I think Dunlop 6105 fret wire if I'm not mistaken. That's the same fret wire that EBMM uses for their basses, and it's a bit heavier than their other 6-string models. This is all due to JP's preference of course. I asked JP about that at the EB Open House last year and he said that when fretting he didn't like to 'feel a lot of wood'. And then Lukather chimed in.

Interesting... the frets on my JP seem to be the smallest of all of my guitars.

The radius are the same on the Jem 15".

I dont know about thin gauge.

My Jem 7DBK uses Wizard II neck that is thiner neck of the Jems.

I think that is almost dangerous, seems that will broke.
