Hi everyone, my name is Alan, just signed up today. Hope everyone is doing great! I've been in love with Music Man guitars for several years now, and own a JPX-6 (which is my baby). Big John Petrucci fan, however I love the Steve Morse models, as well as the Albert Lee's and Silhouettes. I recently saw that Sterling and co. are working on two new JP models, which I find awesome, however I do have one concern/question: will the older models (standard/BFR) still be around longer? I sure hope so, seeing as how I haven't had a chance yet (had the money, more like it :D) to snag a few that I'd like. I'm just worried that one day they'll be discontinued (God forbid) with all the newer models coming out....and I really want a Mystic Dream/Pearl Redburst JP model at some point! Thanks, and keep up the amazing work!

Well, you never know when they decide to discontinue a finish(I assume that you're talking about the finishes). So simple answer is that we don't know if they will be around or if they get replaced with new finishes.

If you are indeed talking about the specific model-line, I doubt they will drop the JP and the JP BFR model lines completely even after they released the 2 new models, it's most likely amongst their top-selling products!

Generally, when there's a new JP model out, the other ones remain in production. At least, that's the way it has been in the past. Generally, if JP changes something on his own guitars like string gauge or pickups, those things change across the product line, if I'm not mistaken.
