I was in sound control a week ago and i was taken by shock to see that they had a luke 20th aniversary, so i asked for a shot and when i started playing it, i noticed something.
The neck is unfinished but the head still has the gloss on it. at first i thought it was a bit weird to play but it got me wandering if the JP is the same?

Do you mean the 20th Silo?

I don't know about the JP, but on my ASS, the headstock has a gloss finish.

You mean a 20th, right? There's no Luke anniversary model yet :D

All the MMs are like that. The playing area of the neck is unfinished, but the headstock has a finish on it to protect the color, logo, decals, signature, etc.

I didnt think it was a 20th luke but it was like cream and on the back it had the red writing with some kind of special, something.
could it be a limited addition?

The knock-off BL that Washburn puts in there is pretty crappy. A bit of researched turned up the real BL and I ordered one for fun. Got me hooked on the pickups (this was years ago) and I've had many of them in various guitars since.

The 500 I put in the bridge sounded absolutely killer - much much better than the stock one. Works very well with that guitar. I also put a 500R in the neck while I was at it.

The JP is the same. So is the 20th Anniversary Silo. I believe any of the EBMM painted/stained headstock guitars have the same thing.

One of my favourite local guitar players here has the exact same set of pickups and they sound great

I think MSRP is ok, street price is a no-no. 2nd hand is good as well.

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm (invariably) wrong :)
