Hey guys been a while since I've been here.
I recently put a Seymour Duncan SH-15 in my JP. That PUP did not like the basswood body what so ever! I then got the d-sonic installed again. Now I'm not a huge fan of it's tone and am looking for a new pickup. But before I do that I'm thinking of rotating it so the bar is to the bridge. I have never messed with pickups before and am wondering if anyone here knows how to do this. Will it be as simple as just unscrewing it and flipping it? Or will it need to be messed with in other ways?
PS it's a lefty, if that makes a difference in wiring.
Thanks guys!

Its as simple as flipping it, but you might not have enough wire to do so. It will sound a bit brighter, and when you use the middle position, you wont have the inner coils, it will be both bridge side coils, which will change the tone slightly, but not heaps.

Thanks, I went for it. Actually I was able to dive bomb the bridge and rotate the pickup without taking off the strings. Not sure if that's good practice but it worked and the guitar sounds great!

It's weird because I flipped both my D-Sonic and Crunch Lab. The difference was more noticable on the CL than the D-Sonic. In both cases, I like the tone much better.
